Terms & Conditions — Just Be Real Last updated: 22 April 2026

By creating an account and using Just Be Real, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

  1. About Just Be Real

Just Be Real is a human connection platform operated from India. It is not a dating app. It is designed to help people form authentic connections through AI-supported self-reflection and intentional communication.

  1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use Just Be Real. By creating an account, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly allow users under 18. If we discover a minor using the app, the account will be deleted immediately.

  1. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide. You must not: • Create an account using someone else's identity • Use a fake photo or misrepresent yourself • Share your account with anyone • Create multiple accounts

You are responsible for activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

  1. Acceptable conduct

You agree not to: • Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse other users • Post content that is hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or illegal • Solicit money, services, or personal favors from other users • Impersonate any person or entity • Attempt to extract contact information from users who have not voluntarily shared it • Use the app to conduct commercial activity without our permission • Attempt to bypass safety features, manipulate the AI, or exploit vulnerabilities • Scrape, copy, or reproduce any part of the app for commercial use

Abusive behavior results in immediate account termination with no refund and no appeal.

  1. User content

You retain ownership of content you create (photos, bio, messages, discussions). By posting, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of operating the app. We do not sell your content. We do not train external AI models on your content.

You are solely responsible for content you post. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

  1. AI usage

Just Be Real uses Anthropic's Claude AI for core features. By using these features, you agree to the AI Data Disclosure. You can decline AI consent during signup or withdraw consent anytime in Settings. Declining AI consent limits access to AI-dependent features (Poona, therapy, avatar conversations, coffee matching) but does not prevent you from using villages, handshakes, and human-to-human chats.

  1. Matching and connections

We provide tools to help you connect with others. We do not guarantee matches, outcomes, or the character of any user you meet. You are responsible for your own safety in any interaction, online or offline.

Never share financial information with other users. Never send money to anyone you met on Just Be Real. Meet in public places. Trust your instincts.

  1. Reporting and moderation

Report abusive behavior, suspicious activity, or content violations through the in-app Report feature. We review reports and take action within 72 hours. Actions may include warnings, content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

We reserve the right to moderate content and terminate accounts at our discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms.

  1. Peer review

After coffee chats, both parties can rate each other. Ratings are aggregated and affect your Peer Review score. Abusive use of the rating system (retaliation, harassment through reviews) is a violation of these Terms.

  1. Account termination

You may delete your account anytime via Settings → Delete Account. All your data is permanently erased immediately.

We may suspend or terminate your account for: • Violation of these Terms • Abusive behavior toward other users or our staff • Legal obligations • Prolonged inactivity (after notice)

On termination, your right to use the app ends immediately.

  1. Privacy

Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy and AI Data Disclosure. These documents are part of these Terms.

  1. Intellectual property

Just Be Real, its logo, name, visual design, AI personas (Poona, Monk, Traveller, Friend, Ex, Matriarch), and source code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works.

  1. Disclaimers

Just Be Real is provided "as is". We make no warranties about: • Accuracy of user profiles • Quality or outcome of connections • Continuous availability of the service • AI-generated content (Poona, therapy, modules, audits are AI assessments, not professional advice)

AI content is not professional therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or crisis support. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or a qualified professional.

  1. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: • Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages • Loss of data, profits, or opportunities • Actions of other users • Offline outcomes of connections made through the app

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (if any).

  1. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these Terms, your content, or your interactions with other users.

  1. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [jurisdiction, e.g., Kochi, India]. If you are outside India, applicable local consumer protection laws may also apply.

  1. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified through the app. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
